Math 10

Math 10 is a watershed year in a student's academic life.  In grade 10, students have the choice between Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus 10 (FMP10) and Workplace Mathematics 10 (AWM10).  The first course, FMP10, is academically challenging and will lead students towards a post-secondary path of University or College.  In Grade 11, these students will choose between Foundations of Math 11 and Pre-Calculus 11.  The second course, Workplace Mathematics 11, is designed for students who plan to go into the trades or go straight into the work force after high school.  In other words, a student's decision regarding their Grade 10 Math course can have serious consequences on post high-school opportunities.
